Breakout role in Unfabulous 2004 of Emma Roberts

Emma’s breakout was in 2004 in the Nickelodeon series Unfabulous. The sitcom helped Robert win the Teen Choice Award and was also nominated for Young Artist Award. This series revolved around a 7th grader, Addie, and her group of friends. It ran for three seasons from 2004 to 2007. After her success in Unfabulous, Nickelodeon considered giving Roberts a jumpstart in music.

At around the time of Unfabulous, Roberts was also getting requests to feature in films targeting the teens. In 2006, she got a role in the fantasy-comedy Aquamarine – the story of two friends discovering a mermaid inside a swimming pool. The following year, she played the character of Nancy Drew. Robert’s performance assisted her to appear in other films like Wild Child in 2008 and Hotel for Dogs – 2009.

The period from 2008 saw Roberts start engaging in more adult-audience films like Lymelife of 2008. 2010 was even busier for her as she acted It's Kind of a Funny Story, Valentine's Day and Valentine’s Day.
