Emma Roberts Biography

Emma Roberts is an American actress and singer born on 10th February 1991 in Rhinebeck, New York. She is the daughter of actor Eric Roberts and a niece to megastar Julia Roberts. The two are responsible to have helped Emma get attention due to their fame, but she gradually established herself as an actress through shows such as Unfabulous, It’s kind of a Funny Story, Lymelife and Scream 4. Her mother is Kelly Cunningham. Her parents separated when she was not even one year old, of which Emma got raised by her mother while the dad remained estranged to her. However, she remained in touch with her aunts (her father’s sisters: Julia Roberts and Lisa Roberts). At one time, she said that she got to love acting due to the times she spent at Aunt Julia’s movie sets. Her famous aunt helped Roberts get a role in the comedy America’s Sweethearts when she was 8 years old.

Her first audition happened at the age of 10. She landed a role in Blow, 2011, as Johnny Depp. This opened opportunities for other small roles on a number of different films. She studied at The Archer School for Girls in Los Angeles and did most of the studying through home schooling. She also briefly enrolled at Sarah Lawrence College but returned to full-time acting. She produced Scream 4 in 2011 with the assistance of director Wes Craven and then in 2012 workd on Celeste and Jesse Forever.

Emma Roberts is currently single after having split with her on/off boyfriend Evan Peters in 2016. She is also linked to have been in a relationship with other actors like Zac Efron, Chord Overstreet of the TV series Glee, her Wild Child co-star Alex Pettyfer and Taylor Lautner from Valentine’s Day. It was reported in 2013 that 22-year-old Roberts had been arrested due to domestic violence for having gave her boyfriend a bloody nose.
