Breakout role in High School Musical 2006 of Zac Efron
Zac Efron had acted in small roles in the past but in 2006, he came to face with the musical movie High School Musical. The movie was aired on Disney Channel. It was a success as it won him the Teen Choice Award for Breakout Star. In 2007, he came back to Disney Channel under High School Musical 2 where he took on the character of Troy Bolton. This was equally a record breaker as it hit 17.5 million cable TV views.
The successful run escalated his career as he appeared in Charles St. Cloud – a fantasy romance and also in the 2009 17 Again. His most recent works include the hit comedy Neighbors that was filmed in 2014 and then in 2015’s drama we are Your Friends. 2016 saw a true depiction of his stardom as he was featured in three comedy films Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising and Dirty Grandpa.
