Breakout role in Transformers 2007 of Shia LaBeouf

Shia LaBeouf was successful in starring the commercial films Surf’s Up and Disturbia in 2007. In the same year, he was cast in his breakout film, Transformers in which he was depicted as Sam Witwicky, the film’s main protagonist. As much as the film got a variety of reviews, Transformers broke box office records and was recorded as one of the highest grossing movie in 2007 and in China generally. LaBeouf has since then progressed to appear in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – 2009 and Transformers: The Dark of the Moon – 2011, both of which had a successful run at box office.

As he was working on Transformers, he also appeared in Indian Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) where he took the character of Henry “Mutt Williams” Jones III. He has also worked on many other successful films such as Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010), Fury (2014), The Company You Keep (2012) and Lawless (2012).
