Liam Hemsworth Biography

Liam Hemsworth is an Australian television and film actor, born on 13th January 1990 in Melbourne, Australia. Liam starred in Neighbours – a soap opera – after which he moved to the United States. He did not stay in the new city for long before landing a role as an actor in the film, The Last Song that he co-starred with Miley Cyrus. Some other of his top notch works include The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and The Expendables 2. He has celebrity brothers, Luke Hemsworth and Chris Hemsworth and his parents are Craig and Leonie Hemsworth.

Liam spent his teen years in Philip Island as a devoted surfer. He also did some flooring work for some short time before he progressed into acting as a career. He was part of the 2007 cast in the soap opera Neighbours in which his brother Luke had also starred. In the said film, he took the character of Josh Taylor. He plays a surfer who gets involved in an accident and is unable to use his legs.

Liam Hemsworth relocated to Los Angeles in 2009 where he auditioned for a role in the film Thor that Kenneth Branagh directed. However, he did not succeed and the role was eventually taken by his brother Chris. Still in 2009, the actor made appearances in the sci-fi thriller “The Knowing” that featured Nicolas Cage. He also appeared in the horror Triangle.

All of Hemsworth siblings have established a name for themselves in Hollywood, with Chris being famous for The Avengers, Thor, Star Trek and Snow White & the Huntsman. The elder of the three is Luke and his acting career was majorly based in Australia. He made plans in 2012 to move stateside and signed with ROAR Management. This is the management that is in charge of the careers of his brothers as well.
