You’ve Got Her Number, Now What?

“When is he going to ask me out?”
is the top question I get from women about men’s texting. These women are frustrated.  They are confused. They are wondering why you asked for their number if you only wanted to know what they had for lunch. So stop vague-texting, and do this instead.

Call her

I cannot overstate this: Texting is a trap.

Plus, calling is now so retro—especially for the under-30 crowd—that dialing a number is the

Why That Selfie?

There was a guy I was supposed to have dinner with last night.  We had a time, but we didn't have a place.  He didn't tell me where and I didn't ask.  I knew I wouldn't meet him in person.  Had he told me where to meet him, I would've simply declined. On Friday, he sent me a terrible photo of himself shoveling eggs into his mouth.  He then requested I send him a selfie of myself eating something.  Needless to say, I did not send the selfie.  And his photo and request had already decided his fate of "No, not going on that date with you."Why that selfie? Perhaps he

Reunited on POF after 42 Years Apart

Nothing makes us happier at PlentyOfFish than hearing from our couples whom found one another via our site. John and Grace’s story struck a nerve, after they told us it all began when they shared their first kiss together as teenagers.
Warning – Grab a box of Kleenex for this one.
Grace: In 2015, after 27 years of marriage, I found myself divorced.
Thankfully I had a younger sister who had a place for me to live. I found a job, worked long hours and gained my independence back. Most of my friends were married, so I decided why not give online dating a shot?

8 Dating Stigmas We Must Break

It’s time to talk about all those rules and negative stigmas attached to dating. Times have changed and thanks to education, raising standards and a whole lot of self-love, we are able to call out the following:
1: Men should make the first move
Depending on what type of personality you have and how much confidence you possess, don’t be afraid to be the one to ask first. Men love a confident woman and making the first move doesn’t signify that you are over keen or over bearing, it just shows that you can take initiative. Whilst you may be more of a traditionalist, make sure you aren’t making the man do

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is tomorrow. All the new age and spiritual information talk about how gratitude increases happiness.  Well, what's there not to be grateful for?  I have food, clothing, and shelter. (I'm betting you do too if you're reading this).  Sure, everyone has areas of their lives where there's room for improvement, but unhappy? No. As general practice though, I should be more grateful year round.  The really good thing about being sick? I'm feeling too sh*tty to care about much.  Black Friday? Who cares.  Guy who keeps blowing up my phone?  Who cares.  Traffic to Thanksgiving dinner?  Who cares, not going.
