Michael B. Jordan’s Val-Zod Series Has Its Writers

Michael B. Jordan’s Black Superman project about Val-Zod for HBO Max has been reported on for quite some time, but not much about it has been concrete other than its existence. But now a new report has revealed that the series has found its writers.
A report from Deadline states that Darnell Metayer are Josh Peters are set to write the series. Both also wrote Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which is slated for June 24, 2022 and just wrapped production. The two have also worked together on Amazon’s The Nola, which is being directed by Sam Raimi, among other projects.

Showtime’s Kathryn Hahn-Led Joan Rivers Miniseries Not Moving Forward

It has been over a month since we’ve last heard an update regarding Showtime’s The Comeback Girl, and now Variety brings word that the development of the limited series about the life of late comedian and host Joan Rivers has officially been canceled. The project was supposed to be led by Emmy nominee Kathryn Hahn, who was previously attached to play Rivers.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus to Star in Comedy Pic Beth and Don

According to Variety, Emmy-winning actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus has officially signed for one of the leading roles in a new comedy film titled Beth and Don, which hails from Academy Award nominee Nicole Holofcener (Can You Ever Forgive Me?). This project will reunite Louis-Dreyfus with Holofcener, after working together in 2013’s romantic dramedy pic Enough Said which also starred the late James Gandolfini. Production on the upcoming film is expected to begin in early spring 2022 in New York City.

Marvel Studios has dropped a brand new Eternals TV spot for Chloé Zhao’s highly-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe film, which is currently slated to arrive in theaters next week on November 5 for a 45-day exclusive theatrical run.

Emilia Clarke & Chiwetel Ejiofor to Lead Sci-Fi Romance The Pod Generation

According to Variety, four-time Emmy nominee Emilia Clarke and Oscar nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor have officially signed on for the leading roles in the upcoming sci-fi romantic comedy film titled The Pod Generation. On top of starring, Clarke will also be serving as an executive producer. Production is expected to begin in March 2022.
