‘Star Wars: Episode VIII,’ ‘Justice League’ Among Fandango’s 2017 Most Anticipated Movies

Superhero films and Disney movies have topped Fandango’s list of the most anticipated films of 2017, which included Star Wars:

Homecoming followed, with “Justice League,” “The Fate of the Furious” and “Fifty Shades Darker” closely behind in the ticketing site’s annual survey of moviegoers.

The most anticipated actresses included Emma Watson for “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Circle,” Daisy Ridley (who will star in “Episode VIII” and “Murder on the Orient Express”) and Jennifer Lawrence, who will star in “Red Sparrow” and an untitled Darren Aronofsky project.

The new year promises a lot of excitement at the multiplex with a much-heralded return of beloved characters and stories
