Women-only club ‘The Wing’ probed by NYC Commission on Human Rights for potential discrimination

New York City is investigating whether The Wing, a private club founded as work space and networking hub exclusively for women, violates the city’s anti-discrimination law by barring men.
The city’s Commission on Human Rights started its probe into the $215-a-month club and co-working space after receiving a tip from a member of the public, commission spokesman Seth Hoy said Thursday.
The inquiry focuses on whether the club, which has three New York City locations and does not permit men as either members or guests, violates the city’s public accommodations law, which bans discrimination on the basis of gender, race and other designated categories.

‘X-Men’ Star Tye Sheridan Teases ‘Dark Phoenix’: ‘More of a Drama Vs a Superhero Film’ (Exclusive Video)

Tye Sheridan, who stars as Scott Summers a.k.a. Cyclops in the the upcoming “X-Men: Dark Phoenix,” teased that the new movie is “more of a drama versus a superhero film.”

“Jean goes crazy in the movie,” Sheridan told TheWrap at SXSW about the new chapter in the Fox-based Marvel franchise that centers on Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey, a.k.a. Phoenix.

“Well, Cyclops doesn’t think she’s going crazy — Cyclops just thinks she’s gotta work some stuff out,” he said. “It’s interesting, the drama in the movie. We treated this movie as much more of a drama versus a superhero film.”
